All About Pocket Knives

found a camillus pocket knife in exterior wall of house i am restoring.house was built in the '60's,pretty sure i'm first to touch it.knife has what appears to be delrin handles.there are two blades,both are 2 3/4" and open from the same end.one of the blades is a clip blade,i'll describe the other.the top of the blade is almost horizontal.there is a depression in the top of the blade in which your thumb rests quite easily.the body of this blade is beveled down both sides to the edge.this blade is a lock-bagk with a thumb release.only the glip blade has a marking.it says camillus-over top of-new york.there is a ring on the end,perhaps like for a tradesmans belt?? alright you guys, what have i got???? thanks slick

....slick,from your description it sounds like an electrician's knife to me, pattern #TL29..... ............

At the risk of sounding argumentative LOL, TL29 would suggest that it is a US army knife,unless it is marked that way I would say it is a electrician's knife but probably not a TL29.I would say you have is a Camillus pattern 27 If you can git a pic of the knife and the tang someone could tell you what you have for sure.
P.S that 2nd blade,could it be a screwdriver/wire stripper?

Does it look like this (except for the main blade being a clip instead of a spear)? Technically "knifetime" is correct but it's common practice to refer to an electrician's knife as a TL-29.

Don't think I've ever seen a Camillus electrician's knife with a clip blade

I haven't ether TJ all the ones I have saw had the spear blade just like Jerry posted.

I can understand that Jerry,for the most part they are the same,right?Were there any difference in the models?

As far as I know Phillip, TL-29 is the military designation for an Electricians Knife and that's the only different. Same old, same old. What's in a name.
