All About Pocket Knives

This Harness Jack is marked Olean, NY, so was made after about 1911 up to approximately 1951.
My question is, does anyone know how to date it any closer than that?
PA, I realize Union left your favorite area, but maybe you know some further info?? Or anyone??

Just to make sure there's no confusion, the main blade is a spear of course, but the secondary is a punch. It is virtually unused, with a radiused back, and a flat face. Moritz Mayer patented that style in 1908, as an inexpensive but effective leather punch. Several companies used it, including Schatt & Morgan, and Case in the periods before WW1 and WW11.

Union left for Olean, NY in 1911 and closed the Tidioute plant in 1912. I looked a my copy of the 1912-24 reprint of the Union catalog and did not fined your knife listed. I will be including a copy of that catalog in my book. Being I didn't find it, I beleive that it would have been after 1924, but I can't be sure unless I was to look at the other catalogs to see where it is listed. Hope this helps, nice knife

I know, just the spear blade looks slimmer than most you see. I like it, nice knife

I suspect it is a bit worn, and someone straightened the edge out, MM. It is still pretty full though.

Yes the post exist, I was able to reveiw them at Ka-Bar last Oct, but I was only interested in the this one due to it being just after the move to Olean. I hope that Ka-Bar considers reproducing the others someday.
