Brown Bros. knife

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Brown-Broth ... dZViewItem Seller claims its made in Tidioute, The steel pins in the nickle silver bolsters and the style of pearl handles just look like a german made knife to me. Am I missing something?

according to my books, brown bros. imported knives from germany. i bet pa knows the facts.

HI!

I have actually already emailed this seller to tell them that they have several facts WRONG. No response so far. You are absolutely right, this knife would have been made in Germany for Brown Bros. WHat I don't know is by who???? Maybe I will never know, could have been several manufacturers. If it was made in Tidioute, it would be Stamped Tidioute on the secondary blade. This was from 1896 to 1902. That is when Union Razor bought Tidioute. Wallace Brown of the Brown Brothers was Chairman. More in the book

now I see that the auction was ended early. HUMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!! still no response from the seller to my questions and comments. I was not mean to them, just pointed out some problems with the listing. In fact it should have helped the auction had they listed in correctly.
