From Shell handle to Brass

Here is a project I have been working on for a while.
It started as a Colonial shell handle fish knife with one blade & a fish scaler/hook remover. I only used the backspring, did some file work on it & cleaned up the blade. Everything else I made. Most pieces I made 2 or 3 times, some 4 times.
Anyway here are a couple quick pics tonight & I will post some on the process tomorrow. It has Snake wood handles. It didn't come out as nice as I had hoped, but is is my first attempt at a Texas Toothpick. They can be tricky little buggers!

Dale - the file work looks just great....
wondering how you do your peening? How much pin do you leave sticking up, and do you create a small 45 degree bevel around the top of the pin first?

Thanks guys for the complements.
On the rocker pin I actually used head spinners. If you note in the top pic the pin on the right sticks out farther. I still have not mastered the art of head spinning yet. I am going to remove the rocker pin and reinstall it. I will use a head spinner and then probably dress it up with a file afterwards.
I took the knife to our knife club meeting this morning. The our knife repairman (about 85 years old) gave me some tips on how to finish the pins. He also said that the handles should be thinner, about the thickness of the bolsters. So I have some more work to do on this knife before it is complete.
I experimented with a smaller slackner, only .012" and it is a bit tight just before the blade locks into the fully open position. But I think it will wear in. It has great snap on closing, a good half stop, but just doesn't snap into the open position. If I can't get it to wear in I may have to loosen it a tad bit.

looks good Dale, I actually only use a .007 slackener .010 at the most
