All About Pocket Knives

It looks like we may have ignored the fixed blades for a while so I have added a couple of Hen & Rooster knives for review.

They look more like the ROOSTER end of things to me.

No egg laying going on here!

fixed blades will probably never replace folders as the collectors knife of choice, but I like them. Much bigger canvas so to speak for the maker to make use of. I'm not at all into art knives, but rather knives that you grip and feel an insane urge to 'chop' with, or to gut a deer with. The old 'Now this is a knife" thing.

NIce ones shown here. The Hen and Rooster with the unusual blade work is very impressive.

Here is my contribution to the thread, a knife UPS just brought me today. It's for a local military man. I ordered an extra one for myself. The SOG 'official navy seal' knife. The Dagget 2 D26T with Tinain blade finish.

SOG now they do make some super knives!!!!!
I am always very please when I recive one.
That is a very fine type of knife you can depend on with your LIFE in the woods. If I ever get stranded out in the woods I would want a SOG with me.

Here is one I wanted to show before.

Roger and I both are haveing a problem getting some thing from Queen's to show it's One of Fifty. Not on the knife or on the box, and no papers that say that. Queen's factory never answer us about this. (e-mail or paper)

She is a knife that when you hold her in you hand you start looking for some thing to hack.

As you can tell the older Gerbers are some of my favorites. They are still priced at a point where it is the accumulating stage,
The top knife is a 60s Big Hunter with grey armorhide handle.
The middle knife is a Guardian, If you enlarge it enough you can see it is a Loveless design. You find quite a few of these with the tip broken. It was on purpose by the Coast Guard diver who used it. Saves their leg from stab marks.
Bottom is a Mark 1, some day I will find its big brother the mark II at a reasonable price. That with a guardian II will fill the series for me.
Hope you like them. The hunter is not part of series.

As you can see from the dates on posts it took a while but I finally got my mark2 Gerber. Its an newer 1989 but thats okay. The Shorty came today I think it may be a mid 50's, have'nt had a chance to clean it up yet.
