Well,let me first start out with,Its a hunk of knife..Its 4 1/2 inches and definitely has some weight!! I had seen pics and even held a couple at knife shows,but you don't truly know how good a knife it really is until you own one!!..The fit and finish is absolutely marvelous...I will definitely be on the hunt for more!!!

Welcome to the world of Cripple Creek!

Very nice. You are right on target about Cripple Creek knives. They just feel right. Great Snap, craftsmanship, and I like the brushed finish on the blades.

I have been lucky enough to accumulate about a dozen. I think I posted about 3 or four of my favorites on the thread What makes a good looking knife.

I have a couple like the one you have but with different scales. Two in bone and one in stag. I have added pictures of two of them. The third is an actual prototype, and I will need to take a picture of it tomorrow.

Cool knives...

Here is one I got a couple of years ago from Houston Price. He couldn't remember if Bob Cargill made it for him, or he bought it from someone. It has no date. CC shield, CC etch, and CC tang stamp, but no date...

I had some time and took a couple of pictures of my other Cripple Creeks including the prototype for the Trapper.

Including the ones on the thread of "what makes a good looking knife", this is all of my Cripple Creeks.

Love them Cripple Creeks!!

I make it 3 3/4" closed up tight...a whisker shy of 7" opened and ready to rock and roll.

I'm seriously debating taking it out of the display and carrying this one.
Are you going to carry yours?

I'll probably keep mine in a display case,I prefer a smaller knife,say 3 1/2"max,to carry.Thats an awesome trapper!!

Buzzard,those CC's are incredible,that barlow is especially nice!!
