Thanks cato and MB for getting me to the thread for the farmers jacks. I love the pattern. I have seen pruning knives or blades meant for horticulture and even have a few but I did not know this pattern existed. I sure hope I come across one someday. I would love to have one for everydaycarry. the ones in this thread, I am afraid, I would never even leave the house with them much less consider puling it out to use it. If someone made the pattern now, for sale, I would sock it away and never carry it. So I guess what I am saying is," I want one that I can bring back from the dead, that I pick up for a song and carry it every day. wonder if Colonial or Imperial ever made a shell knife in that pattern. That would be awesome. I would put some bone handles on that in a minute.

I would suspect that the blade profile would be similar to the Schrade farmer's jacks (which are much more common, in my experience). Do a search on eBay to get an idea for what the blade loss might be.

In the meantime, here is a picture of my Schrade Walden for comparison (it's probably down a little bit itself):

Here’s my first and only true Farmers Jack . Both blades are flat on one side . Main only stamped with the 4 line Camillus stamp . Main has great snap and half stop . The bark loosener not so much ,a bit lazy . The bark loosener or “Rooster comb “ has the jimping for thumb rest while using the top knot to open up bark . This has been used some and the shield has a very slight dent in it ! Otherwise a solid piece measuring shy of 4 inches closed . Handle material is composite .
Was very excited when seller accepted offer and received this piece. Never thought would get one for my 4 line Camillus collection . Felt like a kid at Xmas time.
