Prototypes

Been trying to find out a little bit more about this knife.It has 13 of prototype on the smaller blade and Fight'n Rooster on the big one. handle is a grey/silver/black celluloid. no date or anything else is given.. any info would be appreciated ::nod::

I think I found your knife on Page 193 of Jim Parker's Fight'N Rooster Knives; Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. It mentions it has Silver & Black celluloid handles with the "Celebrated" stamping and that 300 were made. It gives a book value of $80 back in 1994 and I would bet you'd get that, maybe a little more, if you sold it on eBay.

Side note- I just noticed that there are signs of outgassing on some of the knives in the colored picture sections of this book, mostly on the shields. Check out Pages 101, 104, 139, 144-152 & 187-218 if you have it. Keep these knives away from your other knives and well ventilated. ::nod::
