Would you call this pattern a Serpentine Jack?

I probably would; though there does not appear to be a lot of curvature to the frame, there does appear to be some.

Thanks Cato, I actually bought it for the bone handles. There appear to be a couple little cracks, but nothing serious that can't be stabilized. The blades are a little ratty looking but I think that they will clean up with a little effort, and they do look relatively full. N/S bolsters should not be a problem. Poor storage conditions rather than abuse is what this knife suffered.

T.J. if you're going to keep getting old knives, you need to get yourself a good ultra-sonic cleaner. I'm tellin' ya, the darned things are magic. You should see the crud they suck out of an old knife after just two or three cleaning cycles.

You're probably right Jerry. And after finishing a knife, I could always fill it with denture cleaner and do my teeth.......don't cha think??

Yeah but I wouldn't use it on your hearing aid. Those E-lec-trickle devices are kind of sensitive to that sort of stuff.

I got the 14 Serpentine Jack today. Did a little cleaning on it and it turned out pretty nice. Both blades have great walk and talk. With the exception of three tiny, very stable cracks the jigged bone handles (Rogers, I think) are beautiful. The blades cleaned up fairly well, they have some pitting. All-in-all it will make a very nice carry knife and I am happy with this cheap little knife. If you want to see the before pics, please scroll through the topic.
I think that it was Basser5 who suggested to take the pics at a window in natural light if you can't get outside. That's what I did and it sure makes a difference. Thanks Basser
