Large Colonial Lock Blade Knife - Please Help Me Identify It

A friend owns this, but I asked to borrow it to take photos of it as it seems to be quite old, and fairly rare?
If any of you can shed any light on this I would appreciate it. I suspect it might have been made in the forties?
The blade has minimum wobble, and the lock is tight.
Nothing has been done to clean it up, and it is in as found condition.
Thanks for any information you guys might provide.

Here's the knife.
Here it is with the main blade, and saw blade partially open.
Here is the lock.
And for a size comparison, here it is next to a Schrade BearPaw. This pocket knife is pretty big.
