I got this knife yesterday at an antique mall.
I have no idea what it is. It has some sort of logo which I can't make out & I think it says stainless under it. The pile side tang says PAT./PENDING
The blade has a lot of belly in it from poor sharpening. I cleaned it up a bit, but it is still bad. This is an amazingly solid knife. I think the spring is molded in the aluminum handle.

Does anyone know the Who, Where & When about this knife?

Thanks,
Dale
PS- I will be back in a couple days & check for an answer. My wife is having surgery today.

I actually watched a guy making those at Queen, Dale! So it's a fact. They were designed to be rust/corrosion resistant.

I believe if you check Sargents book you will see four differences in the markings. All bring the same price. I sold one in similar condtion as the one you show here about two months ago for $15.

Hope the surgery turns out OK, best of luck from everyone hear at AAPK's ::tu::

Thanks for the info everyone! ::tu::

My wife's surgery went well, but she was pretty drugged up, so I came home to sleep in my own bed tonight. Thank you all for your prayers & thoughts.

Charlie,
With the change in medications, my hands are doing better, & I am hoping to put the hand surgery off for another year, or at least until this winter. I have too many knives to make to go in for surgery now, unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Besides, it would mess up my bass fishing for the summer.
I finally found the steel for your knives and was going to order yesterday, but didn't get a chance to. I hope to get it ordered in the next couple days.

Thanks again for all your help,
Dale
