A friend of mine asked me if I had an idea of who made this knife, when was it made and where was it made...You know the usual 3 easy questions...  Oh yeah did I mention there is no tang markings..

It looks British in my opinion...? :?

Thanks,

I'll play. The grooved bolster, a substantial part of the tang protruding above the handle when closed (I'm using my imagination based on the photo), a flat end plate (perhaps brass?) leads me to believe a traditional Sheffield made prunning knife first few decades of the 1900s. A very common pattern so couldn't possibly id maker. No idea re the R. Buist on the blade ::shrug:: s-k
