Markings on Ontario PSK

Howdy
I'm trying to find information on what looks like military markings that are hand written and hand engraved on an Ontario 499 PSK.
The knife was made 5-01.
The ricasso is engraved and the leather handle is marked using a sharpie.
The marks are;
KC5
KP1176
I realize this is probably a serviceman's ID.
If at all possible, I would like to find out who it belonged to.
This is probably a long shot.
