Was at my local hardware store today,to fill my gas grill bottle** while killing some time,I was looking over their display of knives and spotted a S.O.G. (Sog-Tac Automatic) ___nice looking knife and I really liked the up-curve blade !!!! ( ST-1 is 4 1/2 inch closed and the S-10 Mini is 3 3/4 in.closed ) I have never owned a S.O.G. ::hmm:: so was wonderin' where they were made, blade steel, quality, ect. ?? Found this list below, that is very detailed and answered my question, about where the knife was made*** a little more research and found the blade steel is AUS-8*** they have these knives on sale for Christmas @ 20% off ::hmm:: just wonderin' if Ol' Santa might stop by this store on his way to South Carolina, this year ??????? maybe ???? ::shrug::

Monk, I own a ST-12 and an ST-06 Both knives are a good value for the buck. The 06 can be a "jumper" if your not ready. Mike

Great resource monk, thanks for posting it. This is a nice looking knife. It has an interesting shaped blade, he point almost looks to be up-swept. If you do get this one from Ol' Claus let us know how you like it.

I got both the knives, and they are "awesome"___fire out super fast and lock down tight__very similar to the Protech autos I have, and much lighter on the pocketbook___I am also happy with the AUS-8 blade steel,as the one EDC I carry with this steel works well for me___the blade is up-swept,which would make an outstanding skinning knife for whitetails :) ____trying to decide which one I want to carry ????? I like both of em' ::shrug::

8) Those are Sweet! ::tu:: That SOG Slim Jim XL I just got also has AUS-8 steel for the Blade. Although AUS-8 steel is not a Premium Steel, it's still a very good and durable edge holder and is easy to keep Sharp, making it a Good EDC!

Do you suppose that list is correct? The packaging on the Twitch's says 'Assembled in USA'. Which I have to assume
means the parts were made elsewhere.
