I found these two gorgeous stag handled i mean thick thick stag with pretty bolsters. The blades feature the "winchester trademark" but the blade doesn't say anything on the blade, and there's no pattern number. After reading my knife source book by houston price, it noted there were no knives after the 40s for winchester until 87-- and any in between which were few would be cheap copies not authorized by a german co. or something? So do you think this is one of those or is this possibly as old as the others? i really don't think it looks that old , but i just don't know. I have a 2 blade and a 4 blade one- thanks so much in advance! here's the pic

Just judging by the bit of the tang marking I can see, and comparing it to what I own, I think the knife shown is a post 1987 knife made by Blue Grass Cutlery using the Winchester brand name.
I don't know about the fancy bolsters; perhaps a customization?

Well, this pic is a lot better and I think you do have an oldie. Let's see what someone that knows more than I thinks.
Good for you! Great looking knife.

That is a modern knife, a fake and not an authorized Bluegrass winchester.

thanks so much scout! I can say it def doesn't seem cheap at all- the stag is very thick , and it seems good quality- but i don't know- the book made it sound like the fakes were pretty cheaply made and there were very few- i have one 4 blade one as well that also looks very nice- this doesn't fit the bill of cheaply made??- these are heavy too--

here's another pic i'm going to have to do some more homework -- any other guesses? ii 'll def do some more work thanks guys once again for helping me! i'd like to hear some more thoughts and opinions-- i'm wondering if it is customized some way? i don't know -- the stag alone is worth $$ i'm guessing here's the pic of the handle
