All About Pocket Knives

This a nice hawkbill pruner with a linerlock. I am not an expert, but I think most did NOT have locks. There is no tang stamp (generally 1960s?)but a very good blade etch. The model # is not the "1L" I was expecting. The number is FSN 5110-250-8053.This knife has a very large and strong spring and has walnut or rosewood scales. The blade, bolster and linerlock are highly polished and the knife looks newer than the 1960s. I don't think really ever used at all.

Seeking information and guesses. I was thinking maybe it is somesort of governmentcontract knife, like some of the earlier conversatin about U.S. govt electricians knives.

My Queen catalogs from 1963 and 1970 show the #1 hawkbill but without the liner lock....then the later catalog mid 70's shows both the 1 and the 1L with liner lock. I have no idea what the long number etched on the blade means. Looks like a government number but no idea.
