CATTARAUGUS CUTLERY – 4 BLADES

Can anyone provide any dating information on the following Cattaraugus knife?
Tang markings: Cattaraugus Cutlery Little Valley N.Y.
Number on blade 40663
Pearl handles with leather pouch.

Nice knife. It is illustrated in the Ritchie-Stewart "Cattaraugus Cutlery Co." book, page 56. The knife is a good example of the Catt numbering system: '4' is the number of blades. '0' means it has no bolsters. '66' stands for Congress pattern. '3' designates the mother of pearl handle.
Unfortunately, Ritchie and Stewart do not tell us the date of the catalog in which this knife is illustrated.

PS... other collectors may be able to help date this. Here is a hint. In BRLevines guide, Catt is listed twice, once as a wholesaler 1886-1891, and again as using the Indian trademark, 1891-1963. I am guessing this knife was produced in the latter time frame, which does not really narrow it down much.
Again, that is nice.
