All About Pocket Knives

This is a Case knife . . . a stockman. One side of the tang on the clip is marked CASE XX over U.S.A. The other side is marked 087PE.

It measures a little over 3 1/4" closed.

I'm not sure what the PE represents . . . and I'm not sure I've seen a CASE knife with a model # like this. Typically, there will be the handle #, then the blade #, then the model #.

Plus, what does PE stand for?

the pat. # was shortened to fit on the blade. it's a 63087pe. the pe indicates a pen blade. if it were a punch style it would be 087p. that's a nice old case.

The P =spay E=Pen second letter of spay second letter of pen.

but I couldn't find it on there. I found PEN . . . which stands for "pen blade."

So, apparently, PE means "pen blade", or it stands for "spey and pen" (the 2nd letter of each . . .

So, I wonder which it is?

Its the second look at the HE and think about it they have to use second letters on certain knives with certain blades. Also Tony Foster told me this.
