Old Buck Knife with stagg handles

Can anybody tell me anything about this jewel i picked up today?

Looks like it may have been re-handled at some point but I dig it!
I know they make the 110 now with stag/elk handles but I dont recall the older ones having been made with stag and that one looks to have some patina and age to it, just a guess though.

Am not sure if linking a thread on another forum is considered a 'correct' action. So went over and looked it up.

the upside down tang stamp was on 110s 1967 - 1972. I agree the scales look aftermarket. I am not a 110 expert, I will admit.

Here is an original, never carried Buck 110 that was bought in 1968 for comparison. I think whoever added those nice stag grips to your old Buck also rounded the bolster edges - the old knives had more squared edges. Don't know why it took buck so long to make that improvement. OH
