All About Pocket Knives

Seeing Dogg's 315 Yachtsman prompted me to think about unusual Buck products - here is my entry, a gift from my brother a number of years ago (don't quite remember when), came in a riflescope size white pasteboard box, bar coded, with the Al Buck tract and knife care instructions (no instructions referring to the saw though). A Sawbuck 154, still NIB after all these years. OH

Nice leather scabbard. Looks like a blister raiser and sore arm in the making.

There are a pile of Buck products, some are not even used to cut. They range all over. Especially, during the 1980's several odd things were tried. Such as Buck dart board darts......Heres a couple more normal things....300

Belt buckle, this model is sought after, long past discontinued.

Several types of sharpeners and stones

Cool items 300. I had that same honing kit - still have an ounce and a fraction of the red honing oil in that same tin. Don't know what happened to the Arkansas stone or the plastic box - it was many years ago. I bet there are more cool Buck items out there, just a matter if anyone saved them. OH

I could use the bandaids

Its a knife, but an odd Buck knife.

The 185 Tiburon 'rafter' knife. Only made a few years, this one 2000. Name of designer/kayaker Ed Gillette.




Another sharpening device. Usuallly used on large fixed blades, or 110s. Clamps on spine and guides edge on stone as you stroke it and knife together.


Various items: Buttons that IDed knives in counter display box, a adhesive backed Buck sticker and a lapel pin. Small hard Arkansas stone.


How about copies of Buck knife ads from the past. I remember this one is Sports Afield....


How about a Buck Hatchet Model 106, made for several years in this style. Discontinued.


Lets end this with a knife, a fixed blade Buck Workman carpet knife.....

My only unusual Buck item is this model 186 take down knife.The wrench to disassemble it is on the side and it has the pocket clip attached.I have the original box and instructions including the clear plastic sleeve for the blade when you are handling it.
