Case Classic Trappers...

I've posted this once before. Not a good picture, but you get the idea. All are 254's except the bottom one. It's a 2007&1/2. I rarely see one that I don't already have. Jim Parker told me that there never were a lot of them made and most of them were put away in big collections and may not be seen for many years. I have 3 more of the small trappers bought and should get them soon. 2 of them are bare-heads with winterbottom bone. Both are protos. Not many small trappers in the Classic program were bare-heads. A VERY rare Case Classic handle material. The other is a cell called "blackened butter". It's a proto as the handle material was not used in the Classic program.
The handles in the picture are, from top to bottom:
1. White allante pearl- prototype
2. Green bone- 1 of 1,000
3. Genuine abalone- 1 of 3, salesmans sample
4. abalone chip- prototype
5. rose coral- prototype
6. stag- 1 of 1,000
7. Genuine MOP- prototype
8. " " 1 of 3
9. " " prototype
10.mastodon inner ivory- prototype
11.mastodon bark ivory- prototype.
I'm sure that some of you guys have 1 or more of these. Let's see some pictures of them.

OOPS! I have 4, on the way. The other 2007&1/2 , is a genuine MOP.

CCBill – Very nice collection of rare and beautiful Classic Trappers – thanks for the pleasure of viewing them… I have a couple of favorites from my collection..

Top to bottom - the first one is a 2007 ½ proto with sectioned handles of Heart Abalone & MOP.. The second one is a 254 followed by the larger 223 – both in stag...

OK Roger – let’s see what you brought to the dance……… GB

Case Classic 007&1/2...

Here are the small trappers I mentioned a good while back. I just got them, today. Sorry about the lousy pictures. I was in a hurry.

1. This one has a handle material called blackened butter. Prototype. Handle material was not used in the Classic program, but for a very few samples. Pretty darn scarce.
2. Genuine Mother of Pearl Prototype.
All four of these are absolutely beautiful. As close to pristine mint as I've ever seen. My pictures certainly don't do them justice.
3.Tan, Winterbottom bone, barehead. Prototype. I'd like to know how many Winterbottom Classics were made. Very few, I would imagine. I don't get to go to the shows or anything, but these are the only ones I've ever seen.
4. Red, Winterbottom bone, bearhead. Prototype.
Thanks for letting me show off my new "Babies". I kinda like the Case Classics(can ya tell?).

Holy Smokes! Wow those Case Classics sure are easy on the eyes. These posts are making me drool. ::drool:: ::drool:: Great knives guys, like that display on the link A LOT, thanks to all for sharing. I sold all my Case Classics some time ago ::tear:: and made a mint. ::ds:: Wish I would have kept a couple, but the last 3, well, the offer was just too generous to refuse.
