What year and type of knife is this? I have never seen anything like it. I assume it is a fish scaler, and it is the Case XX model. Any idea on value? I have researched everywhere!

Welcome to AAPK
You are correct, it is called a Panfish knife.
I have no idea of the value but someone else surely will.

Case and Robeson both manufactured this particular knife.
The Robeson versions are of little collector value. I cannot speak to the value of the Case.
A similar, but older and more collectible and valuable version, was made by Marbles in Gladstone, MI, in the early 1900's. Those command significant dollars.

I also have one and the value depends on whose book you look at. According to Jim Sergent's Book (I only have the 1999 Edition) the pattern was discontinued in 1950 and was valued at $45 at the time of publication.
