All About Pocket Knives

Theres nothing wrong with it opening. I opens fast and locks up.
But once its opened it has a little play back and forth and wont stay locked.
I'm sure that it can be fixed,,but does anbody know a simple fix that doesnt require taking the knife apart?

You should just send it to me for a nominal fee and then you wouldn't have to worry yourself to death about the wobble.....LOL

I didnt think there was a way to fix it with takeing it apart. But thought i would ask anyway.
Its not really that bad. I'm just going to put it back in the gunsafe and forget about her again.

The tutorial was for a Press Button Knife Co "Invincible" not a Schrade Cut Push Button Model #1534 3/4. If you look at the blades pivot when closed you may can tell if the hole(square) has been chipped out .If it looks like it hasn't been perhaps it is just dirt or lint in the hole. Any time I buy these knives online that is my first question "Does the blade lock open and closed correctly with little to no play " I recently bought 3 of these knives from one seller and I ask this question and was told yes they all locked up correctly .When they showed all 3 had chipped pivots and did not lock-up. I lost several hundreds of dollars on those 3 knives .They can be fixed but requires taking them apart and welding the pivot hole back and reshaping correctly > Not a cheap fix
I have had a few dozen these but never kept a Schrade?Cut one for my self. I do however own one with the Shapleigh tang stamp and the two 06-07 Pat dates stamped on back tang (Used from 1907-1910). Its one the very earliest examples known .Very few are found with the two pat dates and Shapleigh stamp.I really like the brass pins that were used on it. It also has the same "pickbone" scales that is found on Some Press Button "Invincible" examples (see last pic) It came from from St Louis, MO. from the family of one the former Employs of Shapleigh. I'm guessing he handpicked it for the bone.
