CASE TESTED 63045 with Imitation jigged bone??? 3-5/8 closed. Handle are real dark, black or close to it. Jigging does not look like bone. Not sure what the blade configuration/type difference makes this an 045. Doesn't look rehandled but there are circular scratches on the center pins, worn spinning tool?

I see it listed in the Trader's guide volume 9 if I am correct on the model. Says "63045 im jigged bone. made w/ no shield". They also show a 63045 Green Bone with no shield and a 6345-1/2 with "im bone" in the same book.

I have a different model with the same handle material and jigging. Knifeaholic confirmed it as being a contract knife made by Utica. Your contracting company may vary as there were a few.

Bob;

I don't think that those particular knives were made by Utica. If I said that then I was in error.

Utica made 45 pattern scout knives (640045R) and 35 pattern jacks (620035) on contract for Case.

These particular cattle patterns (and you see a lot of them) were likely made in house by Case. Most likely military knives.

Steve, I mentioned that mine was a different model number and you're correct in that it is a 620035. Plus after looking at the expanded pictures above, mine has finer jigging. You were probably right about it being a Utica contract knife for Case and my comparison to the posted knife was off a bit.
