All About Pocket Knives

Gang,

A lucky hit on a Craiglist ad landed me this gorgeous CASE display case from the late 60's early 70's, It is the floor model. I didn't have to do a darn thing to it but bring it home. It was WELL taken care of. I decided to mount some of my knives on the board to make for a fun way to show off some of my items. It is no secret so I will tell you that I paid $325 for it. He wanted $400.

Take a close look. The quiz for the day is to find the only two knives that aren't vintage on the display. I will provide a hint, but only after you look. Just thought it might be fun to play WHERES WALDO knife style.

I am thrilled with this Display and proud to show it off.

Once i was at a pawn shop in Harrison arkansas just south of Branson mo. And found a E.C. Simmons display case.
I wanted it so bad it made me sick. But it was mainly glass and i was in my welding rig truck and had no possible way to haul it. It had the big logo's in the glass. It was sweet.

It was about 5 or 6 years ago. They where useing it, so it might still be there. The pawn shop had gold in the name. Might of been gold nugget pawn.

first knife i saw that was familiar was the barnett, so i would say this is not a case knife collection.
my two gusses are the letter opener and the nail pick.

actually only one knife is a true CASE knife. All the others vintage knives except two. Chet you are correct on the letter opener. Of course the knife pic isn't vintage either, but it isn't a knife, Your on fire my friend. You have the eye. So one knife left isn't a vintage piece. HINT, Pigsticker, this one should be easy for you!!!!

Chet, you beat me to it and I was so proud of myself. Those were both my guesses until I went back and read the first post again and saw he had specified knives.

ok dave, then how about the ballon center folding hunter on the top far right. that was my thought before also.

You got it Phil. its the pigsticker. That's a new repro by KaBar. It is stamed TIDIOUTE.

I needed a longer knife for that slot and it fit the bill.
