All About Pocket Knives

Not all knives made in the smallest state were tin shell or hard plastic handled cheapies. These I offer here are inexpensive, but I would not say cheaply made. Solid cell handles, solid bolsters. And guess what, the true test of a knife, as old as they are, they still work; Great walk and talk, blades will hold an edge and cut, what more can you ask of a pocket knife?

I think also the Imperial Knife Companies, range of Frontier knives were also well made, and in R.I. very close to the Schrade Old Timer models.

Here are a couple of imps that fit the description and a few odd balls ( but I did not want to take the display apart to just show the solids.) Actually one of these is an off the wall ( The Schrade wall, with a gold plated blade ). The other display is from Colonial who many years ago found in there factory a supply of old gents knives so they issued this collectors set of them they were 30 years old knives when issued in this set. LT PS As I am sure you know the original solid Imps were issued under the tang IKCO ( Imperial Knife Company ) then it was changed

I have been a bit busy. I am sure everyone enjoyed the respite. Most folks do not miss my absence probably due to my uplifting and delicate manner. As well as my always optimistic attitude. Big storm coming in Rain. This is a good weekend for me to replenish the venison sausage recently depleted by some old friends who showed up. These were people with no redeeming virtues they drink, gamble, and are men ( versus wimmen who drink and gamble in whom I find these traits a virtue ). I suppose that if they have any saving graces it is that they collect high end knives and like to gamble when under the influence both factors of which resulted in a large addition to my collection of pictures of dead presidents. Beside even though I knew about Camillus a couple of months ago I felt a time of silence was in order ( at least by me ) what a shame but no surprise. I am like pestilence around just not always virulent. LT
