My own design. Bookmatched ash burl and L6 steel 3 1/4" blade, 4" handle. Brass pins and lanyard hole, mirror polished blade. These are horrible pics, my camera just didn't want to photograph this knife :evil: .

Hey Muskrat Man that is a great custom, does it get easier with time?? As fast as it seems you make your customs I believe we forget there's a lot of sweat in the process.. ::tired::

Thanks for sharing,

Sunburst

Thanks guys! After doing it for a while you become accustomed to the process and it gets a little quicker. I have been working on this fixed blade off and on for over two weeks in-between embellishing folders, just a little work here and there when I have the free time. Now that this one is finished my free time is going into a custom folder I am making from scratch, still needs quite a bit of work.

Also, just thought I'd add. I've spent up to 12 hours a day in the shop on several occasions and usually spend around 8 hours inthe shop on most days, working.......and listening to music.....while working - of course :lol:

Great work as usual Kaleb! ::tu:: ::tu::

I wish my body would take 6 hours in the shop in one day. Sometimes I am doing good to get 6 hours of shop time in a week.

Kaleb,
When you have a chance shoot me an email & tell me how you do your heat treating. I have some I need to heat treat but no oven. If memory serves, (which it usually doesn't), you don't have an oven either. I would like to know how you do your heat treating.

Keep up the good work buddy! ::drool::

Much better pics! ::tu::
I really like the grain pattern on the top edge of the scales as you look down on the knife (the 4th pic). That looks great.
Keep up that great work! ::tu:: ::ds:: :mrgreen:

I will be heatreating carbon steel, most likely 1095.

Thanks,
Dale

nonsense, $125 would buy a knife like this, with a sheath.
