All About Pocket Knives

need some help people, this was dropped into my hands today and I have no clue what it is or what it could be, the handles are bone and the spring is broken but it is pretty, gimmee some love !!!!! ::tu::no stamps or markings, too much sharpening?

It looks like a Frosolone, if it is it is a valuable old knife and worth fixing

I`d say M bros is correct , it looks frosolone . i wouldn`t mind having one in my collection

some more info the bolsters appear to be brass coated, plated or something and I was told it pre dates 1950 and no safety lock like newer ones seem to have. What's a frosolone?

Great looking knife and it has a wasp waist to boot which makes your a little more rare. Some examples have been known to fetch in the thousands . What size is it ? I had a 10" with no tang stamp that had the wasp waist also

Yes the safety is gone. I see the horn is cracked down in that area too; the horn must have gotten damaged
and the safety fell out. It's a neat knife and worth getting fixed "properly." One or two wrong moves and the
price goes way down in value. Even just shining up the brass will be a turn off to some collectors.

In fact, only near mint and mint examples with great makers tang stamps will bring top dollar.
Any flaws, missing pieces, handles cracks, broken springs, down blades and those found without blade stamps
will keep the prices around $650-$800. Even nice ones on auction have gotten only one or two bids
of about $800 and ended up not selling on auction.

Savy collectors who are patient have repeatedly picked up nice examples for a couple/few hundred bucks.
