Picked up a Buck Scout knife for good price last weekend. It's a single blade lockback, with the " Be Prepared and Scout logo " engraved on the brushed nickel finish handle. I have 3 books which I refer to for tracing background on my knives. Two of them mention that Buck made a Cub Scout knife but has a different pattern # assigned to it. This knife I purchased has Buck, over 526 C, over U.S.A.. The closest I've found is a Buck 503 which they advertise as a " Gents Knife ". Just to mention, the C after 526 indicates Bucks dating pattern, which in this case C= 1995. Does anyone else here have the same Scout knife or familiar with this pattern. Thanks, Bull

My apologies to the site. I meant to post this under the all scout knife thread and I pushed the wrong key. If the moderator chooses, please re-locate, I guess to the Buck forum. Again, my bad, my apologies ::dang:: Bull

Pinnah, sorry for the slow response. No can do with the pics. Something is amiss with my camera. When I get to uploading, it just runs and runs and runs, but no pics. Not sure what the problem is exactly. If you can access a pic of Buck's 503, I believe it is, they call it their Country Gent, this scout knife is identical to it. Only difference that I can tell is that the knife I have has the Boy Scout emblem engraved on the mark side of the knife's brushed handle. Believe me, I realize the importance of having a pic, and I will provide it when I get my uploading problem solved. Closed, the knife measures 2 7/8's inches, the blade being 2 inches. I'm not a big Buck follower, however, it's a nice little lockback. ::tu:: Bull
