It's great to see all the beautiful autos that are being pictured in this new switchblade forum. How about a thread dedicated to the cheap switchblades that I know we all have because we never saw a knife that wasn't worth buying CHEAP ::nod:: Bust them out ::ds:: I can only imagine some of the weird and wacky El Cheapos that are out there. Here's some pics of mine. I had about a dozen more but I traded them for a 13" AKC ::sotb::

Great idea, waz!

I'll have to dig a few out. Think I've got one of the CHEAPEST ever made that's
been disassembled (for now) on the basement workbench.

Camo paint from head to toe and 1, yes only 1, shell handle on it!

Here's a couple more that were hanging around the house. That's one thing about living in Florida, El Cheapo autos pop up for sale in some strange places. Flea markets are loaded with them. Tackle shops usually have some too. They don't get much cheaper than these two. My wife likes to keep the one with the flashlight in here purse

Here's that camouflage beauty!

They don't come much cheaper than this thing. Check out the integrated pocket clip and spring retainer!
I can't help to laugh every time I look at it.

A friend gave it to me. Said he gave less than 5 bucks for it at a local gun store.
I saw them on ebay not long ago for 7.50 or make offer! None sold??? ::mdm::

The button and blade are a bargain for a custom as this will become. ::nod::

Here's a few el cheapo's(except the bottom one).
On the left is a combination OTF and cigarette lighter.
Top is a switchblade letter opener(!)
Next is a camo colored one with saw back.
Next is one with a gut hook.
Last is a switchblade bayonet from China(no idea what it fits).Has a slot in the the back with a spring loaded latch and the guard is a loop that fits around the rifle barrel.
Bottom one is a very old horn handled switch with a spear point blade and a flip lock blade release on the top of the back spring. No markings.

K7K - the bottom one is just like one that I have except mine is not a switch. Stamped "AQUILA" and made in Italy. Twelve inches long open!

The bottom one is a very high quality Hunting pattern made in Scarperia, Italy in the 1920s or 1930s.
Many of the automatic versions were not marked with a name or country of origin. Many of the manual
versions seem to have some sort of marking like Tonerini, Scapreria, etc, etc. In fact I emailed you about
this one a few months back, I'd like to buy it, lol.

Do you reckon that K7K's switch and my Aquila are the same maker??

Possibly the same maker or another maker in Scarperia. The bolsters look pretty similar
so maybe the makers shared parts and tooling, etc. Nice knife.

BD8B -- Here's one no one will be calling "High quality". Probably from the same factory as yours.

Second one was a gift from my ex-son-in-law. No country of origin on it. I'll bet no one will have trouble figuring it out though.
