I haven't given up on knives.
As a matter of fact, I bought a Miller Bros rope knife on ebay yesterday. The seller didn't know what they had. Got some nice razors out of that mess too looks like.

although I did find that catalog on a razor site of all places..

I'm guessing he thought the rope knife was a straight razor by another mother?

No idea what they were thinking, but the numbers worked out pretty good as far as cost per item in that lot.

I found the Turner stuff at a razor forum and it wasn't linked to Mick's site. LOL

This appears to be the knife on the far left.

I don't know how you do it, but you come up with some of the most interesting and gorgeous old Sheffield stuff.

BTW, since I've started shaving with straights, I enjoy the Sheffield blades and American FAR above the German blades. The old Sheffield wedges and quarter hollows are my favorites.

Here's a Thomas Turner I hope you don't mind my sharing. It's not a folder, obviously.
A nice, old knife I like to use in my kitchen.
5 3/4" blade and 9 1/2" overall.

Hi, I wonder if any one can help here. I have come across this pen knife with Turner and co, Encore written on it. Is this a rope knife from the early 1900's.

Welcome. Great stag on those old pruners and that's a quality maker.They were one of the few sanctioned cutlers to the British monarchy.
