Mornin' Okie. Keep in mind, going in, that 87% of statistics are made up in the moment.

I'm guessing the 80/20 rule applies here. I'm a firm believer that 80% of eBay sellers
a.) Don't really know what they have.
b.) Don't know how to describe it even if they do know what they have.
c.) Don't know how to describe the item to it's best advantage in order to sell it at the highest possible price.
d.) Don't understand the value of a well laid out, in focus, bright, picture.
e.) Might know a good clear picture if it bit them in the a$$ but don't know how to take one.
f.) etc, etc, etc

Pick any one of those or several of them and they apply to the lion's share of eBay sellers.

I'm not familiar with that type of a russell stamp. But that doesnt mean much.
But it does`nt look like a old authenic stamp to me. Looks quite new.

Is it just me or does that pooch's nose look like it's pointed down too much? ::shrug:: I only have an early 80s hunter and a few reference pictures to go by.

The Dogs head does appear to be positioned wrong.....but I do not have one from this era to compare. ::shrug::

The newer Russell knives made in Germany....are pretty good quality but I think they're choice of steel is a bit weak....soft,doesn't hold an edge very well.IMO.
I'm not for sure which Factory makes them...but it wouldn't surprise me if the Parkers weren't involved with their manufacturing in some sort of capacity. ::nod::

Thanks johnnie…when red rider mentioned the dogs head positioning I thought the same thing when I had seen it but I was going from memory and that is not reliable at all…I need some good knife books but I would rather buy knives instead…The books are so expensive
