Is this knife real and if it is is it really pre 1920 and what kind of handles is this.

Made out of an early Imperial or Colonial most likely.

Looks like it could be a frankenknife? the blade resembles a w.r.case & sons blade. But that frame isnt right for sure. It should have a true cokebottle frame.

Not an expert on anything, but the stamp looks genuine. The blade has been resurfaced. and the tang looks unusually short. A jig grinder could resurface the blade, and cut into the tang to efectvely lengthen the blade. The short tang could also be part of hiding a welded blade, This one would be hard to sell at a knife show where the buyer can coon finger and chicken eye the offerings. The shape of the frame says Colonial to me. jmo

Yeah i think the blade is good,, but probably was embellished to look better.
But it dang sure doesnt go with that frame.
I messaged the seller days ago. He actually agreed that it wasnt correct.
But he must not care. Its allready up to $190.00
