Thanks for showing Barry, I was wondering what side by side would look like.
A little stouter than the 72, but not 23 size....looks like I'll be trying some more out...

I've only looked at a couple Earl, but they were like the 72's in that one was tight and the other had a tiny amount of movement, but hardly any really. I've seen the same with the S&M mountain man lockback which seems to be the grandaddy of this pattern.
Thanks Bill H.!!!

My appologies for the crappy photo.

All of the 42 Traders I've looked at thus far have been very tightly constructed; any tighter and they'd be difficult to unlock. I think GEC hit a homer with the new, slightly larger lockback!
I think I'll take this'un deer huntin' this fall!

I've been waiting on a lockback Pioneer for a while. This is certainly a step in the right direction! Great knives fellas.

Are these new 42 lockers tight, or do they suffer a bit of blade play like some of the 72s?

Thanks' guys...it's a work in progess. Jerry that would be a big wharnie blade...who knows it could happen.
Barry I'm looking at one...seems I've spent my allowance for this week...
Bass all of these have a tight lock up no play at all...I am well pleased with them.....
