My Users - Some of each pattern

It has been awhile since I posted a picture.

Over the years I have designated a knife or two from each pattern to be a user. Here are most of them. This photo should contain at least one of each pattern release so far. (Not including the Missouri.)

Some are used more than others, but these aren't part of the "Collection". I can carry these around and use them (again, some more than others :) )

These are arranged in order of pattern introduction. Top to bottom, left to right.

I Also like stag, so here are my stag users in the same format.

Those fall into the "carry some more than others" cop out jargon. :)

::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu:: Awesome EDC's Eric!!! Love to see GEC's used. Just out of curiosity if you had to choose one what would it be.

I seem to tend toward the 61/62s. The 48 (single-blade) and 57 are next, but the 79 is coming up on the outside...

Next would be the 68, 33 and 85.

The 53s are my favorite for a backpocket carry.

At least today.

Nice! Maybe it'll inspire me to start using one of my GEC's

Eric,

Nice display. What is your criteria to make a knife a user or put it into the collection? I've bought several that I thought I'd use and carry and then when I receive them I can't bring myself to mar them up by pocket carry. ::dang:: ::facepalm:: In my case, I figured having duplicates of the same knife would help, but thus far it has not. :|

Very nice, Eric.

I have a similar approach, but I don't think I have quite as many EDCs as you do ... I start out with that intent, but some just never seem to get carried.

As you know, I favor the 62's myself. Then would come the 61, 56, 57, 72, 73, 25, 33, 53, 54 ... not necessarily in that order.

Again, that is one very nice collection of knives you can "grab and go" with, my friend ...

First I buy all the ones for the collection. When they are out for a while, I think what I would like to carry, usually bone. I then look for at what is still available and sitting around, that may or may not be as collectible. Then I look for a Store knife, or unserialized, or one that has a slight flaw that I can fix (sometimes the blades are not quite tight enough, or the of the handle is not as good as I like, so I alter it, etc.) . Failing that I will get one that I like, maybe sn 13 or some other serial number that is not as loved. If I get a stag, I look for stag that I would like, but not necessarily the best, but I get the best I can find that appeals to me.

That said, some of the above are potential users. Some have not been carried, but I have no qualms about taking them out of the tube and putting them in a pocket, or just futzing around with em.

In that stag picture, especially, the 23, 53s, 54, 36 57 48s, 61s, 25s I would consider real users, the others are potential users, that may move to the collect camp if I find another that is more user friendly. The 79, 85, 68, 72, 89 and 33 look a little to good sometimes and I may not "use" them if I can find something more usable.

On the other hand, I sometimes wish I had not made that first stag 53 (2007) a user, it is one of the best stag I have seen from that time. The other 53 has been rehandled by someone, so no qualms about that one.
