A army bayonet,looks old,what is it.

Hello,let me start by saying "Thank you" to all who help in this forum.Now that said what is this?
It has"U C on the hilt"with something that looks like a"letter O with a torch on top of it"in the center of the letters.

Looks like what is left of an M-1 bayonet (WW-II issue for the M-1 Garand as well as the M1903 and the 03A3.

UC is Utica Cutlery and the US includes the US Army Ordnance Corps acceptance mark (same as the branch insignia); an old style flaming bomb.
