Very small knife.Who would make this and how old.

"Who would make this?How old is it?What kind of handle is that?"Thees are all questions I have had every since I got this little beast about ten years ago.It is full tang CV blade.

Those were made in the '50s and '60s prolly by Colonial.

They actually were given away when you purchased a pair of boots (cant remember what brand). I think it was Colonial that did this as far as the knife maker, I have a bunch of these and some even with little sheaths and will post a pic or two tomorrow.

I dug a few out tonight including a Colonial, dont take very good pics at night tho. ;)

I too have a few of them and they are variously marked USA Thornton and some unmarked. Thornton was a mark of the Federal Knife Co that was located in Johnston RI.The mark was used by Federal from 1945-1950 (according to BRL) and then was sold to Colonial.

Here's mine only have a few I also have another like the red but with white handles. The one on bottom is a Colonial has Cub Hunter stamped in blade.
