All About Pocket Knives

The next GEC on my WTH ("Want To Have") list is a Northfield 720110. Preferable with Burnt Stag or Yellow Bone if I can find one for less than a million dollars. I looked in the Production List for 2010 to see what I was getting into and try and make sure I wasn't asking for the moon (You know. Like a 720110 Banana Peel or Blue Jigged Bone. ). The list confuses me.

Are they listed like this because they did two runs in 2010? So does this mean there were a total of 110 made with Burnt Stag and 75 Smooth Yellow (I'm assuming the 4 Yellow Rose had the rose shield and thus were different)

Wharncliffe blade is a must.
Am I wasting my time looking for a Burnt Stag for less than $150? (nearer to $110-$120)
Am I wasting my time looking for one with Smooth Yellow Bone?
Either one would satisfy me.

Any and all replies welcome. Blunt but not cruel answers appreciated.

Well sugar. No wonder I was confused.

There are still a couple of Ebony 720110s out there. Looks like that may be my best bet or just go without.

Sorry to post in an old thread but, Jerry, you said there are still a few ebony 720110's out there? Is that for the wharncliffe blade or the other blade shapes?

I love the look of that wharncliffe as an EDC, especially with the lanyard hole (I tend to lose things out of my pockets). But, man alive, I can't find the wharncliffe bladed 720110's online anywhere.

I also don't know if I can drop $100 or so on a knife I've never held much less find an extra $100 in my budget. And trying to sneak it by the wife is something else too!

And I'm afraid about the only one's available are the spear point blades......in ebony

LittleNemo -- Boggs would know. He's one of the primeo GEC guys. Don't get your hopes up. That's a very popular configuration and they're rare.

Thanks for the reply guys. I figured it was popular since I couldn't find it anywhere online. Here's hoping GEC does another run sometime when I have some spare money. Time to start saving up a slush fund!
