Thanks to a pair of backsprings from Bob (elvis) I was able to put this basket "Case" back in working order. Slabs are some old antique bone that I left smooth and natural.
These are big beefy knives and it'll make a nice one to put into the deer huntin' pack.
Thanks again, Bob! I couldn't have done it without your help! ::handshake::

I love them ol' big pocket knives. That one is unique now. Wouldn't mind relieving Bambi of his hide with it! Will the smooth bone be an issue when it get wet as in dressing a deer? Treefarmer

I don't think so treefarmer, they're such a fist full of grip, plus the design lends itself to holding fast in the hand. Besides, if it decides it doesn't want to cooperate, i'll just jig it's ornery hide! :lol:

Do you have any "before" pictures?

I love the natural bone, it goes well with the rest of the knife.

That is quite a handful, and a nice save!

Thank ya gents! ::handshake::
Glenn, I failed again! No before pics. ::facepalm:: I didn't have much to start with, just a pair of liners with bolsters attached and a set of blades. I even had to make the center spacer.
