These walnut handles look great. The only wood handled GEC I own is a #73 in jigged american cherrywood (Beaver Tail series). What a great knife.
But these polished wood handles look oustanding.

GEC is coming out with another wood species handle scale; Jobilla. A tropical hardwood with dark and light brown figure. It is only on the 79 pattern thus far and they'll be hitting dealer shelves in about a week.

That ""Jobilla Wood"" should make some pretty handles,for sure
says it's a very hard & heavy wood, from Central America and a member of the cashew family___sample below

Did some furniture refinishing in my past, Bastard Mahogany was the trade name for this wood,takes a good size piece to pick up the character. Heres some stuff I'd love to see them use....of course any Burl would be sweeeeet!!

Agree Jim those dark exotic woods are just beg'n for a knife. Sure wish GEC would give it a whirl,must be a reason they don't.
