I posted this knife up for trade in the trading forum, but no one has shown any interest yet.... I realized I don't really know anything about it, so I thought I'd post it here and see if someone might recognize it or have some info they could share.
The only stamp on the tang is USA. I'm figuring it was made by Colonial, does that sound about right? I'm wondering if it was perhaps part of a commemorative set, with different rifles on them, but that is just a guess. The blade is unsharpened, so perhaps it was not made as a user, but rather as a display item, again just a guess. It does have really solid snap though.
Anyone else have one like it?

What do you want for it?Yes it does look like a Colonial.Look at the flat grind on the blade.

Hey Ironmage, I sent you a pm, I'd like to trade it for a US made folder of some sort, make me an offer!
Does anyone else have any comments about this knife? Doesn't look familiar to anyone? What about the wording on the handle, anyone familiar with that particular firearm, the single shot with it's "octagon barrell"?

I'm going to take one more shot here at bumping this one up, to see if anyone has any familiarity at all with this knife or any info to share....then I'll put her to rest and file it away and stick her back in the accumulation with no more info than I started with....anyone?
thanks,
Mike
