All About Pocket Knives

Just wondering if anyone is carrying a Ben Hogan pattern Great Eastern and how they like it?

Ask this over in the GEC section of this forum and you'll get a better response.

I don't have one but a lot of people like them.

I love the pattern but have not EDC'd one yet. Greg at TSA knives carries one and I am sure there is a review
of the #65 on his blog site.

I carry a clip point version in my back pocket sidog,rides beside my wallet,love it.

I also edc a Hogan. I love this knife, but have not found it to be especially pocket friendly. I tried the wallet trick, like Earl, but found it a hassle when I took out my wallet and tried to return it. And it would always fall and lay across the bottom of whatever pocket I carried it in which I find really uncomfotable.
But I didn't give up there!
I took to modifying each pair of jeans I have by sticthing the inside of my front pocket to create a "pocket within a pocket" that very effectively keeps my knife riding upright and out of the way. Works great! I can now carry my Hogan, or any longer knife, in my front pocket comfortably and descretely, without haveing to constantly adjust and reposition it. The stitching took no time at all, but remember to leave a space at the bottom a bit bigger than a quarter so that if a coin falls in the pocket, you dont have to stand on your head to get it out.

That's a great trick, Mike and is actually something I've given thougt to as well. Now to find someone with a sewing machine...
