All About Pocket Knives

Ok, I'm bit. I'm looking for a GEC but need some help.
I really have gotten into flush/smooth tangs lately, not so much like Canoes where the scale rises to cover the tang, but more like a Robeson Pocket-eze, and like the Case SBJ where the scale and tang are straight and flush (or close to it) when closed.

I'm having a hard time finding pics of most of the GEC's closed, so I am going to lean on the collective knowledge.

Here is what I'm looking for.
- 3 1/4" - 3 3/4" closed (can be fudged just a little)
- Bone or stag scales, not wood
- Flush tangs
- Wharncliffe blade (but that may be asking too much)
- Two blades are preferred, but three or even one could work
- This will be a carry/user so not too thick

Any ideas?

Hey Chris___a few photos of some different patterns,side by side__maybe this will help ??? GEC is not known,for ""Flush Tangs"" they make their knives, to help keep lint & trash out of the handles (at least,that is what I was told?? )___the #57 Whittler,#12 Toothpick or 2 blade Jack,#62 Whittler & #66 Jack ___seem to be close to what you are talkin' about__the others,have a very pronounced tang,when closed**___ I can photo shoot any pattern you want__just let me know**______Monk

The 61 has joints that are close to flush...
2 blades, Also a warncliffe main.

And it's 3-5/8" closed. And it's purdy. Two styles. One with a Wharncliffe main and the other with a Sheepsfoot main. There's also a four blade model. You can see them all here -- http://greateasterncutlery.net/blog/pat ... -congress/

Hmm....So far I'm liking the #66 Serpentine Jack, and even though I never have liked the Congress design, the #62 Easy Pocket Congress is looking tempting.

The #62 Easy Pocket is 3 3/4 in. ( 2 or 3 blades ) and the #66 Jack is 3 1/2 in. (2 or 3 blades)

CORRECTION - "SUNK JOINT" is the correct term I was looking for, and will refer to it as such in the future. The #66 is as close as I have found in the GEC lineup, and it works well.

... and as it happens, the 62 Easy Pockets and the 66 Jack and/or Mink are some of the mostest darn nearest perfectest patterns GEC has ever produced ... IMHO-est.
