Just got this one yesterday. It is my first Kabar. I know Kabars are very difficult to date but does anyone have an idea as to an approximate age. It seems like more of a newer knife to me. There are a couple of things about it that make me wonder. The hafting is very blocky along the liners both top and bottom. The choil on the main blade is cut more into the tang than the blade.

I think that is one of the Queen made modern ones. They are nice well made knives, and usually don't go cheap.

That is a gorgeous knife - from my point of view that particular design makes the perfect pocketknife.

Thanks for the info Bret, it is a well made knife.
I agree with you Old Hunter, that blade configuration is one of my favorite, however, this one at 4 1/8" closed is a little larger than I like to carry in my pocket. The same style jack at about 3 1/2" is what I like to carry.
Thanks
Dan
