I just won this on ebay,does anyone know anything about this maker?Any info will be appreciated.

Thats a good one Johnnie!

I found out they are some how associated with Krusius in Solingen Germany.not to bad for $15, will make a good EDC.

i googled the word it's spanish for governer. AND they referenced gobernador arnold! i was right and did'nt even know it.

and yes, it looks like a great edc.

I have a 2 blade stag congress knife that has both Gobernator and Krusius on the blade. It is made on the same frame as the bulldog cutplugs. Jim Parker in his encyclopedia said that Krusius Bro's probably made more knives for others than themselves and he found a lot of old blades with gobernator on them as well as others in the German factory. I have a strong suspicion that my knive was made around 1983 using the Gobernator blades that were found with the Bulldog cut plug frame. It is a good quality knife. Just a guess of course.

JMO looks like a schrade 708Y without the pen blade.

I have a couple I have had for years, I always assumed they quit making them in the 50's or so.

Then as Olderdogs1 pointed out, all these others started popping up in the 80's, even Frank Buster was selling them in his mail order business back then as antique knives, I may still have a price list with photo's.

With all them warehouse finds nowdays; I do not know who made what when or can even be sure or assume

Hey guys ,I just got it today.
The guy I got it from on ebay states, and I quote,"Own a piece of history with this WWII era knife" well,I think you guys are right.This knife was made no earlier than the 80's.....some people will say anything to make a sale.But the price was right and it will make a good EDC!!

All I have to say is it must be one hell of a warehouse... I'm thinking it's that same warehouse they locked up the Ark Of The Covenant at the end of the Indian Jones movie...

I will agree, that is a nice looking knife. And any of them I have looked over have been well made.

This is one I happen to have out and I am almost postive I aquired it sometime before 1980. That is when I started keeping written records and this knife is not listed in there and knowing me.......it should have been.

I guess my point is; I could easily say this as an old knife, but who would believe me?

I figured it was something like that.

Thanks for the welcome; this forum rocks. I especially like your "how-to" articles; I worked on guns for years but never even thought about customizing a pocketknife.

I just picked this up on ebay

and plan to replace those ugly blue scales with maroon micarta, and that will be my EDC.
