All About Pocket Knives

Lets see some of those old English made knives, show'em if you got'em. The new and current made knives of today are nice but those old knives of yesteryear with history behind them really trips my trigger.

Aimus, looking through mine, I could only find three English knives - a Lockwood Brothers hawkbill, a shell-handled Richards and a Currey rigger. As opposed to dozens of German made ones. With all the knives made in Sheffield, I wonder if most of them went out to the Empire instead of coming to America. Germany lived on export just like England but didn't have an empire.

Here are a couple more Stag handle English knives.............

I found this George Wostenholm I*XL 3" Dogleg Jackknife today; it is in pretty good shape to be over 40 years old - dosen't look like anyone ever used it. Cannot tell what the handles are made of, but the shield is embedded pretty good, steel is sharp and it has strong opening and closing snap (broke my thumbnail opening it).

A nice group of beautiful knives on here so far. ........ Good thread!

Here is a real nice Joseph Rodgers Congress, with blackened stag.
