Prayer Request For My Dad

Hey guys, I would appreciate your prayers for my dad, Don.
He was admitted to the hospital Wednesday for diarrhea & vomiting, which had caused him to become dehydrated. He was in the hospital for a couple days and then seemed to be fine, so they sent him home.
I talked to him yesterday and he was feeling pretty good. He built a birdhouse with one of his great-grandsons and my brother-in-law. My sister said he started fading toward the evening. This morning my mom & niece had to take him back to the hospital with diarrhea & vomiting.
My dad is 82 and a Christian. He is also a diabetic, though the doctors did not think the diabetes was the cause of the problem earlier this week.
Your prayers for dad are greatly appreciated. Your prayers for strength for my mom (Kathryn) are also appreciated. She is also 82 and when something is wrong with dad it sort of throws mom for a loop. They have been married for 63 years, this coming June.
Thank you,
Dale & Family

Have asked the Lord to bless your parents and pray that the doctors will know how to treat your dad's condition. The Great Physican is able and He uses the medical world to heal our ailments from time to time. Treefarmer

Thanks guys, I appreciate the prayers.
I talked to dad today by phone. He sounded pretty weak and said he was dehydrated again.
Of course he is on an IV to get him rehydrated.
They have run some more tests.
He has lupus, so I am wondering if this may in some way connection to the lupus.
I will update here as more info becomes available.
Your continued prayers are very much appreciated.
God bless you all,
Dale

The prayers are working guys, keep them up a little longer.
I talked to dad today and he sounds much better.
He was able to eat something today and keep it down.
I am hoping he will be going home a day or two.
They are still running tests on him last I heard.
Thanks for all your prayers!
God really does answer the prayers of His people!

Thanks for all the prayers guys. God does answer them!
I talked to dad this afternoon and he was getting ready to go home.
The problem was is virus. The docs said he will have to hang in there until the virus runs its course.
The key is starving the virus, (he has to eat small meals from a pretty restrictive menu as I understand it), and to keep himself well hydrated. He is not over the virus yet, but at least they know the cause and have the tools to deal with it.
Thanks for all your prayers!
Dale
