I was the only bidder on this #72. It came yesterday and oh my!! When I opened it, I could hardly believe my eyes. NOS condition with minor carbon spotting. I'm just tickled pink.

I am hooked on these #72's.

jerry, great buy!!. i love 'em, too!!...i've got 36 of them, and i cant pass one up, especially the bone handled ones-the most unusual one i have is one of the original "yello-jaket" whittlers that has the shield that has the yellow jacket under a clear plastic bubble!.do you have one of those???............

Thanks gents. I don't know what it is about the 72's. I really don't care at all for stockmans and basically that's what the 72 is. -BUT- Every time I see one, no matter what brand it is, my mouth starts to water and my eye begins to twitch. I want it. The size is right and that swell center along with the sabre ground blade on the older ones trips my trigger. I'm still looking for one with bone handles that I can afford. I usually shop in the bargain basement so I'm going to have to get lucky.

No carrmillus, I don't have one of those. My Yello-Jaket is from the last few years the company was operating. It's mint so I'm happy. Right now, I'm just trying to pick up all the more common ones.

As I said above, bone is one I don't have. I keep my eye out for them but never seem to be able to nail one. They always go for more than I want to spend.

I loved that display you showed. If I had that many 72's, I might be satisfied.
