All About Pocket Knives

Heres a bad job at replacing a blade. This is not how it's supposed to be done.

Horrible job. Hey Hukk, nails do work good for pins, if they are used correctly (unlike this knife)

Dang! That looks like one of my BETTER repair jobs...

That is true, but as you say, not like this guy. Dang, you can use wire for pins to if it is the correct size. I plan to make some jeancarta (yeah when I have the time) and I plan to make a Levi knife, copper bolsters and copper wire pins. I hope to have time in March for that.

I think the person who "repaired" this knife was looking for a trapper, and had no idea what he had. Maybe the fact that the end of the blade was hitting bottom should have been a clue it didn't belong in the knife.

This is one ugly knife. It's too bad someone will probably bid on it.

I've been meanin' to get some jeans for some jeancarta (I don't wear jeans)......... Someday

The copper with the blue sounds real good.
