All About Pocket Knives

Please provide input on this knife as to authenticity. Would love to have a few opinions.

Case Bros Little Valley NY stamp on mainblade front and back of secondary blades. Back of MB has Case XX Tested "Circle" stamp. Not sure if mainblade was used in this era. True Mint condition for for this era is knife is not a fake.

3 backspring whittler with white liners. 3 5/8" length. Does not appear that the backsprings have been shaved to match tangs ground and restamped. good fit.

One of those knifes that looks to good for era but one never knows.

A complete and total fake, not even remotely close to anything real.

I had a hunch this knife was fake and that is why I posted on this particulair "Conterfeit Forum". Just would like for more detail on what the signs that it is a fake are. First thought was condition of knife and mainblade type to me. As I said, "Looks to good to be true".

Inherited this knife and hundreds of others from my Father and it looks like he got duped on a few. This one immiediately looked suspect. The reason why I asked. Certainly will not try to pass on my (inherited) loss to another buyer or my heirs. Just looking for more detail as I strive to increase my knowledge. This one goes in the trash pile. Just tyring to live and learn.

Jerry, The most obvious thing I can see about this knife is the tang stamping. It is really poor. Its hard to explain exactly but if you had that tang stamping on an authentic knife it would very obvious. I'm sure there is much more but Steve will have to help out here. BH
